From May 7-28, we will be joining over 1 million believers from around the globe in a 21-day fast for Israel. We will be praying for the increase of God’s salvation promises and plans for Jerusalem and Israel. This is the first time in history that over 1 million people have gathered for 21 days to pray purposefully for Israel. The fast will culminate with communion together during our services on Sunday, May 28th.
about the fast
Isaiah 62:6-7 says,
On your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen;
All day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who profess the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;
And give Him no rest until He establishes
And makes Jerusalem an object of praise on the earth.
We are responding to this proclamation by fasting and asking the Lord to make us part of the company of watchmen for His people Israel. The Isaiah 62 website states:
This 21-day fast is a “global Esther moment” (Esth. 4:14-16) that will be a significant down payment for the final ultimate global Esther moment when millions of believers will engage in prayer, speak out boldly for God’s purposes for Israel (as seen in Scripture), and stand with Israel as anti-Semitism increases until Jesus returns (Zech. 14:1-5). This fast is also important for today as Israel faces several very significant conflicts.
how to participate
We invite you prayerfully join this fast in whatever way you are able to—whether full fast, until dinner, Daniel fast, social media, or otherwise. In addition, the desire is to pray an hour a day for Israel.
There will be in-person prayer times happening for those who would like to join with others (see below). We also encourage you to utilize the resources listed below and/or follow along on Grace Center’s social media as we post daily prayer points.
Please note: Minors are discouraged from fasting any sort of food without parental oversight and consent. Minors are encouraged to participate in non-food abstentions such as social media, TV, video games, or internet.
