Core Values
Presence
Exodus 33.15 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here...”
The most honoring thing we can do in any church service is to welcome God by creating space for Him to move. We always want to honor the Holy Spirit and have his wonderful presence manifest at our meetings. We want Jesus to be in our midst and so anything that would hinder Him coming to be with us has to go. That’s why we place such a high value on things like the healing of our past hurts, creating an atmosphere of praise and worship and walking in honor and love. We are a “presence-sensitive” church; after all if God isn’t with us in person, what’s the point of meeting together?
Community
Acts 2.46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts...
We place a high value on growing together as a body of people who love Jesus. So while we meet together on Sundays for our main services, we also meet throughout the week in small groups, as friends and families, and at whole church social events. If you are new to Grace, we encourage you to join one of our New Member classes as they provide a great way to get to know the people we hope will soon become your family.
Equipping
Hebrews 13.20-21 May the God of peace... equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ...
At Grace Center we believe every Christian is in ‘full time ministry’ - we don’t see a difference between the spiritual and the secular arenas. Everybody has an incredible call on their life and we want to make sure people are trained and equipped to reach their destiny. For this reason we offer a wide range of very practical classes from marriage preparation to raising children, from healthy living to healing the sick, from walking in the prophetic to helping the poor. Throughout the year we host a number of conferences and invite world renowned teachers to help equip our church so we can all “do the stuff”.
Outreach
Matthew 10.5-8 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “...Preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
A pond grows stagnant but a river has life. We don’t want to be Christians who have been given much but keep it all to ourselves! Rather we want to give away everything we’ve been given. As such we love to give, be it money, time, resources or the gospel of Jesus. We support a number of missionaries around the world, offer the opportunities for people to attend short term missions trips, feed the poor, give to others and help those around us in our community and abroad. We also want to provide opportunities for people to give away all that they’ve been given by serving in the local church and para-church ministries.
